New school year

Mason is in 3rd grade and Olivia is starting kindergarten this year has started out a little rough. I am having a tough time with the schools giving the kids the things they need. I am a fighter and will keep fighting until they make it right. Mason and Olivia are both on new meds and they are both doing pretty good. Olivia has had several grand mal seizures in her sleep so we are keeping a close on her we will see how she does with the school day this year. She is going full time and I am nervous she is going to be really tired. She starts next week, Mason started today and he had a great day!! I am looking forward to what this new year brings.

I hate seizures

Poor Mason has been having multiple seizures at least a couple days of the week again. He gets really tired by the end of the week, he has missed several days of school, because he is so exhausted. The school is accommodating his absence because they know it's from the seizures, but he is still missing out on school work. I wish I could waive a wand and just make them go away!

Changes

Well lots has changed since I last posted. Mason and Olivia were having increased seizures due to the summer heat and I had missed some work, and they were not happy. So we made a family decision that it would be best for me to be home to care for them. We have a long difficult road ahead, but I have faith in God and that he will take care of us! We reached our goal for our travel expenses so now the count down begins! Thank you to everyone for the continued prayers and support!!

Amy
Mason update

So it's been awhile since I have posted anything. It has been anything but quiet for us. Olivia was in the hospital in May for some testing, so far all is normal. Mason and Olivia are going to be enduring some genetic testing to see if we can get to the bottom for the seizures. I am working on finishing up raising the last $900 we need for travel, and am trying to catch Mason having some seizures to send in some clothing to 4 Paws for his dog to begin learning Mason's smells! We are almost there, there is only 1 more class is Aug before ours in Sept I can't believe we are almost there. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the help and support that we have received and continue to receive. We have a difficult task with our children ahead but truly feel blessed. As always prayers are welcomed and appreciated.

Love,
Amy
Seizures

Took Mason to the neurologist and they did an EEG. We found out that
his is having a lot of seizure activity in several parts of his brain!
The doctor said to expect Mason to have a grand mal seizure it is more
than likely to happen. He has a lot going on when he sleeps so we will
be making some changes at home until we get his seizure dog. We have to
get blood work done and then go back and talk about adding an
additional medication to help eliminate some of the seizures. I will
keep everyone posted on his progress, please keep Mason in your
prayers!!

responsible to pay for all travels expenses, including hotel, food, and
transportation. We will need to raise $5000 to cover those expenses.
