4 Paws 4 Mason and Olivia

Mason starts kindergarten in 2 days, I am much more nervous than he is.  We have all the plans in place for his seizures and how it is going to be handled.  I think he is really going to be tired and struggle the first couple of weeks, I just pray that the stress on him doesn't end up putting him in the hospital please keep him in your prayers,  watch for an update.

We had a good turn out at both the Masonic Lodge's all you can eat spaghetti dinner, and the United Methodist BBQ chicken dinner. I want to thank both organizations for all the hard work that went into these events and it is greatly appreciated!

So Mason has been doing pretty good since his last hospital visit.  We are doing the best we can to keep him cool, so his seizures seem to be controlled at this point.  I contacted his school and they are going to put in an air conditioner for him since it will still be hot when school starts!  We are taking him to get a second opinion at a different pediatric neurologist, his current doctor keeps messing up his medication doses, so we will see what this new doctor has to say.  Thank you for ...

Mason has his follow up appointment with his neurologist today.  We will see what he thinks about Mason's tests and everything that he had done in the hospital, we also need to find out how to handle the heat.  I am worried because Mason starts school in the fall and the school is not air conditioned I am not sure how we will handle this, hopefully the doctor will have some insight!

We had to pull Mason from playing baseball.  His team was great Mason sat on the bench and supported them.  They took  up a donation for Mason to put with is fundraising money for 4 Paws.  I though that was so sweet of those families.  Thank you all so much!

Some of you may know Mason was admitted to Akron Children's Hospital on May 30 for increased seizure activity, and did not return home until June 2nd.  He is having more complex seizures than we initially thought.  This round was heat related, heat is apparently a trigger for Mason.  So we have to be cautious about how much he is exposed.  They did increase his medication and he seems to be doing much better.  Thank you for all the support and Prayers!

Mason has been having several seizure's a day for the past week or so.  We are not sure why he is all of a sudden having them again.  We will be going to see the neurologist in June.  I am sure he will have more tests done!  I will let everyone know how it goes! Our Cici's fundraiser was a great success.  I want to thank everyone who baked, or came and ate, or just donated!  We have got the ball rolling now and we are getter closer to our goal every day!!!
